A team event built as a game, in Berlin or in your office.

Game Is Serious hosts team events in Berlin for HR and office managers. A city game in Mitte, or a game in your office. You send a date and a headcount.

A street in the Scheunenviertel, the start of The Hidden Codes.
Scheunenviertel, 3 to 4 hours

A city game through the Scheunenviertel, for three to four hours.

The Hidden Codes takes eight to thirty people through Berlin-Mitte, up to about forty on request, in English or German, with indoor stops. The game ends near Hackescher Markt.

In the office, on a phone

An office game built around your company.

Stations, codes, and a live leaderboard on a screen you already have. Teams play in the browser, with no app. Hosted in Berlin, and elsewhere on request.

A hall, tables, or a small group

The room decides the game.

  1. Seated in rows: everyone plays on their phone, with live polls, word clouds and short puzzles. The host leads from the front, and the live leaderboard runs on the screen.
  2. At tables, even for 200 people: each table is one team, playing on one phone.
  3. A small group, say 15 leaders in a restaurant: a game with depth, with conversation, decisions and a short debrief.

What we settle before the day.

  • Weather

The city route has indoor stops. It runs in the rain.

  • Language

English or German, agreed before the day.

  • Teams

Small mixed groups. One phone per team is enough.

  • Your part

You send a date and a headcount. We plan the route, the game, and the host.

  • The end

A short close with the winning team. No report for the manager.

  • After

If you want to eat, we recommend places nearby. We do not book the dinner.

As a company event it fits a Christmas party, a year-end close, a New Year reception, a kick-off, a company outing, a summer party, a company anniversary, a new team, or an offsite.

Sohrab Mostaghim has built games for companies since 2016: 200+ facilitated sessions, 60+ organisations, 3,000+ participants. Five published board games. BoardGameGeek.

Questions before you write

  • What if it rains?

The Scheunenviertel route has indoor stops. The game is built for Berlin weather, including December.

  • Do we need an app?

No. Teams play in the phone browser. One phone per small group is enough.

  • How long does it take?

The city game is about three to four hours. We size the office game to your headcount and rooms.

  • English or German?

Either. Tell us the language with the date and we build the game for it.

  • Can you come to our office?

Yes, in Berlin. Elsewhere on request. You need rooms and a screen for the leaderboard.

  • When should we book for December?

As early as you can. Most companies fix Christmas parties in October and November.

  • Is this a scavenger hunt or an escape room?

Neither. Small teams solve codes in real places, outside or in the building. We host it. You do not prepare it.

  • Does a report come with it?

Not for the team event. It ends with the winning team. A written summary comes with the leadership edition of The Hidden Codes, and with the workshops.

  • Is this like Kahoot or AhaSlides?

Live polls and word clouds are part of it. What you also get is a game with a story and stations, built around your occasion, and we host it.

  • How many people?

The city game is built for 8 to 30 people, and up to about 40 on request. In the office the game follows the room: rows, tables, or a small group.

  • What does a team event cost?

There is no flat price. Headcount, place and length set the work. After the call you get a fixed proposal.
