Meteorite (Shahab Sang)

Game is Serious

Quick Facts: 1–100 players (incl. solo) | Multiple tables | One team wins only when ALL members find their meteorite | Icon-only messaging between tables | EN/DE/FA

1. What is Meteorite?

A meteorite has shattered across different "times." Your team members are scattered across different tables, each searching the same hex map for their own fragment. Teammates sit at different tables (opponents sit at the same table). You can only send short icon messages to teammates at adjacent tables. The team that finds ALL fragments first wins, so sharing and using knowledge is essential.

2. The four-loop of knowledge management

3. The five actions

Each turn you have limited energy. You can:

ActionCost / Limit
Move1 energy = 1 hex. Max 3 hexes per turn (5 with Cart).
SearchCollect resources at your hex. Max 2 searches per turn.
Activate toolTorch, Detector, Distance Meter, Messenger, each has energy + resource cost.
Craft vehicleTracker (3 wood), Cart (2 wood + 2 stone), Boat (1 wood + 1 flint + 1 feather). No energy.
Claim meteoriteDeclare your piece is here. Costs all remaining energy. Right = you found it; wrong = penalty.

4. Tools and vehicles

Tools: Torch (reveal resources), Detector (meteorite here or adjacent?), Distance Meter (exact distance), Messenger (send 5 icons to adjacent table). Vehicles: Tracker (cross ponds), Cart (move 5 hexes for 1 energy), Boat (find nearest hex with a resource). Full costs are shown in the game.

5. Clues and reports

You start with one clue about your meteorite's location. You earn more clues by using tools, visiting hexes, sending messages, and crafting vehicles. After the game, facilitators get player, team, and comparative reports; each player gets a personal and team report with KM scores.

6. Pacing & flow

7. Messaging icons at a glance

Icons fall into four families: terrain (mountain, forest, water, fire), resources (wood, stone, feather, flint), directions (N, S, E, W and diagonals), and intent (search here, distance close, distance far, found it, need help, danger). Up to 5 icons per message. The legend is permanently visible inside the messenger panel.

8. Who is this for?

Teams and organizations that want to experience and discuss how knowledge is created, shared, and used. The game surfaces real behaviours under pressure. No sales pitch, clear mechanics and measurable outcomes.
