January
New Year reception and kick-off ideas for teams

A New Year reception or a kick-off works when the room does something together before the speeches. Game Is Serious hosts a game built around the year ahead, in Berlin, in English or German.
What January often looks like
- A speech, then standing around.
- A quiz that has nothing to do with the year ahead.
- A date booked in January that should have been asked for in October.
A game that fits the room
- Rows, like a cinema: everyone plays on a phone, the host leads from the front, the live board is on the screen.
- Tables, even for a large room: one phone per table, one team per table.
- A small group of leaders: a game with decisions and a short debrief.
- Or a city game through the Scheunenviertel, for 8 to 30 people.
- English or German, agreed before the day.
- Ask in October or November if you want a January date.

Is this a slide quiz?
Live polls and word clouds are part of it. The session is still a game with a story and stations, and we host it.
How many people?
The city game is 8 to 30, up to about 40 on request. In a room, the seating decides the game.
